How should I prepare for the Vfair?

With the current job market being so competitive, attending a virtual job fair is a great opportunity to make yourself stand out from the crowd. However, it can be overwhelming to know how to prepare for such an event. Here are some steps you can take to make sure you are ready for your virtual job fair. From creating a professional resume to familiarizing yourself with the website and having questions prepared, we will cover everything you need to know to make sure you are ready!

Create a professional Resume

A resume is your first opportunity to make a positive impression on potential employers, and it's important that you create one that speaks to your abilities, skills, and experience. By tailoring your resume to the job you are applying for, you can ensure that it's the perfect tool for the position. Important aspects of a professional resume are highlighting knowledge of industry trends and proofreading it for accuracy and errors. Make sure all spelling and grammar mistakes are corrected before submitting your resume to an employer. In addition, be sure to include any relevant information such as certifications or awards that you may have earned. Finally, keep your resume concise – no more than one page should be required!

Complete your profile and explore the Vfair platform

The VFair website offers you the opportunity to research different companies and positions, and see which ones appeal to you most. By updating your résumé and profile information, you can make sure that your skills and experience are highlighted in the best possible light. You can also schedule interviews with employers ahead of time. Be sure to register before the day of the event and research the companies that interest you. You should also upload a professional headshot and prepare a tailored elevator pitch – a quick summary of your skills and experience – to use when meeting with potential employers. This will help you stand out from the competition, and it will give them an overview of what you have to offer.
